Do Flash Lash Clusters Last Longer With Waterproof Mascara?
Share
If you’re using DIY lashes, one of the most common questions is whether mascara will affect how long they last.
With Flash Lash Clusters and Flash Lash Flex, mascara is optional — but it can make a difference depending on what you use.
When applying Flash Lashes, always start with clean, softly curled natural lashes.
From there, you can optionally apply a very thin coat of waterproof mascara before applying your lashes.
This step can make application easier, especially if your natural lashes are lighter. I personally use waterproof mascara because my lashes are very blonde, so it helps me see where to place the clusters.
The key thing to understand is that if you wear mascara underneath DIY lashes, it must be waterproof mascara.
Regular mascara breaks down when it gets wet, which can cause lash clusters or Flex lashes to lose their hold or slide off completely.
Waterproof mascara helps your natural lashes hold their shape and can support better wear time for your lashes.
Most people find their Flash Lash Clusters and Flash Lash Flex lashes last around 7–10 days, and in some cases even longer. I’ve personally had sets last up to 14 days.
If you want your DIY lashes to last longer, using the right prep steps — including optional waterproof mascara — can make a noticeable difference.
If you're new to DIY lashes, both Flash Lash Clusters and Flash Lash Flex are designed to be easy to apply at home and fit into your everyday beauty routine.
